Short:
Please pray that I would live a life wholly surrendered to God, guided by Him, and lived for His glory.
Long:
Some call it revival; others call it the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Paul writes in Romans 12:1, "...present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God." This is the desire of my heart.
As I read church history and hear the testimonies of godly men and women, I repeatedly encounter people who lived in deep fellowship with God, fully submitted to His authority, and led by His hand. I long to live in the same way. Yet I often find myself focused on the here and now. Therefore, I humbly ask you to pray that God would completely orient my life toward Himself.
There are three specific areas that burden my heart:
1. A life of deep fellowship with God
May God lead me through His Word and His Spirit and make my heart sensitive and responsive to His guidance and Voice (Romans 8:14).
2. A life of wholehearted surrender to God
May God enable me to love Him with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength, and to do everything for His glory (1 Corinthians 10:31; Deuteronomy 6:5).
3. A life of holiness and obedience
May God produce in me a deep hatred for sin and an ever-growing love for holiness (1 Peter 1:16).
I desire to live a life wholly directed by God, wholly devoted to God, and wholly spent for the glory of God. Please pray that I would follow my Lord Jesus Christ without compromise and love Him more and more each day.
From the bottom of my heart, I ask you, brothers and sisters in Christ: please stand with me in prayer for this request.
