Special Program:  Del Cerro Baptist Church Joymakers present “Joy Cafe”

Why would an 80 year old retiree venture out and start a new coffee house where friends old and new can connect? Come find out as the Joymakers present ‘Joy Café’. In this musical production you will get to hear great standard songs like ‘High Hopes’, ‘It’s Been a Long Time’, ‘Tie a Yellow Ribbon’ and others in an open mic. setting at the Joy Café. Also visiting will be one of our favorites, Maxine, with her senior adult humor, and our Old Guys Rule Quartet. As our story unfolds we realize that Helen, the café manager, has decided to do something to make a difference around the world. Her testimony of Jesus’ impact in her life can be heard in the song ‘No One Cared For Me Like Jesus’.

Joymakers is a Ministry of Del Cerro Baptist Church in La Mesa, California. It is made up of Senior Adults from the ages 60 – 90. The group meets once a week on Wednesday Mornings under the direction of Paul Plunk. They sing for Senior events and present a production once a year that has both a fun and spiritural impact.
